A season registration parents finish in two minutes
Send the link to last season's families four weeks before the first practice, then post it in the school newsletter for new families.
Ask for the birth date, not the age: leagues set age groups by a cutoff date, and a birth date sorts players into U8, U10 and U12 without a follow-up message.
Order jerseys from the size answers. Youth sizes run small, so when a parent hesitates between two sizes, the larger one lasts the season.
The help question turns volunteers into a plan. Two assistant coaches is enough for most teams; snack parents then claim their games on the team snack schedule.
Youth sports registration questions
Should I collect medical records on the form?
No. Ask only what the coach needs on the field, like an allergy or an inhaler. Medical forms and physicals belong with the league office, not in a shared sign-up. The health question is optional, so parents of most kids skip it. Print the answers with each parent's phone for the coach's bag, and keep them out of the team group chat.
Can a parent register two kids at once?
This template takes one player per reply, so each child keeps their own jersey size and birth date. Parents fill it in again for a sibling. Siblings often land in different age groups because of the birth date cutoff. Where you can, schedule their teams on the same field at the same time, which saves the family a second trip.
How do I take the season fee?
Write the fee and how to pay in the intro, or send a payment link when you confirm the team. Fillio doesn't process payments. If you offer a sibling discount or help with the fee, say so in the intro, since families who can't pay the full amount often skip registering otherwise. Check payments against the responses list before you order jerseys.
