Starting the season without a 200-message group chat
Send the link right after the last season's final, or in early August. Returning managers reply first, and new ones fill the last spots.
The draft night question takes several answers. Pick the night with the most votes and post it in the chat with the league invite.
Put the format to a vote once. A snake draft is quicker for new managers; an auction rewards the ones who prepared.
The pot answer is only a list of who is in. Collect the money yourself before the draft, and keep the replies as your record.
Fantasy league sign-up questions
Does it work for a 10 or 14 team league?
Yes. Change the closing limit in the form settings to your league size and update the number in the intro. Use an even number so every team has an opponent each week; 8, 10, 12 and 14 all work. If a manager drops out before the draft, raise the limit by one and send the link again to fill the spot.
Can it work for basketball or baseball fantasy leagues?
Yes. Change the title, draft dates and pot amount. The returning and format questions work the same for any fantasy league. Pick draft dates in the last week or two before opening day, like mid-October for basketball or late March for baseball. If your league also votes on scoring, such as points or categories, add a second choice question with those options.
Does the form collect the pot money?
No. Fillio doesn't take payments. The pot question tells you who to collect from; use whatever payment app your league already uses. Export the replies as a CSV file, sort by the pot answer and tick names off as the money arrives. A manager who picks the free option still plays every week, and only the paid managers share the prize.
