Hiking group sign-up
Hikers sign up for a capped group, say their experience and share rides to the trailhead.
What's inside
Drivers say how many seats they have free, so you can match them with hikers who need a ride; the form closes when the group reaches 15.

Leading a group hike
Put the distance, climb and return time in the intro. A hiker who sees 700 m of climbing decides for themselves whether this is their hike.
Fifteen is a group one leader and one sweep can keep together on a trail. Change the limit in the settings for a bigger group with more leaders.
Trailhead parking is usually the tightest part of the day. Match drivers with free seats to hikers who need a ride, and you park four cars instead of twelve.
Read the experience answers before you set the pace. If a third of the group is new, plan a stop every 45 minutes and say so at the start.
Group hike questions
What if more than 15 people want to come?
The form closes at 15 and later visitors see that it's full. Duplicate the form for a second date, or recruit a second leader and raise the limit. Share the second date's link in the same chat right away, while the people who missed out are still keen. If a hiker drops out, delete their reply and the place opens again.
Why ask for an emergency contact on a day hike?
If someone gets hurt on the trail, the leader needs a number to call without searching through phones. It's one line, and you delete the replies after the hike. Phones are often locked, and an injured hiker may not be able to open theirs. Save the list on your phone or print it before you set off, since many trails have no signal for loading the dashboard.
Can I cancel for weather?
Yes. Every hiker left a phone number. Message the group by 6 am on the day, the time the thank-you screen already promises. Decide your rule the night before, such as thunderstorms or strong wind above the tree line, and put it in the intro so the call on the morning is easy. To move the hike to another day, edit the date in the intro and keep the same link.
