What's inside

From uploads to an exhibition

Put the theme, the deadline and one photo per person in the intro. A tight theme such as "Our town in autumn" gets better photos than "anything goes".

The permission box is the one you need for an exhibition or a post. Keep it required, and you never chase a winner for consent after judging.

For judging, export the replies and show judges the photos and titles without names. Announce the winners on the date you promised in the intro.

Photo contest questions

Can people enter more than one photo?

Let people send the form once per photo, and say the limit in the intro so judging stays fair. The intro says one photo per person, so change that line if you allow more. Each upload can be up to 10 MB, which fits a full-size phone photo. Ask for the original file, not a screenshot, so prints for the library wall stay sharp.

Who owns the photos?

The photographer does. The permission box only lets you show the photo with their name, as the option says. Ask separately before using a photo in an advert. Credit the name on every label and post, exactly as the entrant gave it. If a photo shows a person's face up close, ask the photographer whether that person agreed before you hang it.

Can a brand run it as a giveaway?

Yes. Add the prize to the intro and keep the rules checkbox from the giveaway entry template, which says no purchase necessary. A photo contest is judged on skill, so list the criteria in your rules, such as theme, focus and light. Name your judges, or say if followers vote, and give the date you announce the winners.
