Party theme poll
Guests vote on the theme before the invitations go out.
What's inside
Guests who pick "My own idea" write their theme in, and the dress-up question tells you whether the winner needs a full costume or a hint of one.

Picking a theme people dress for
Run the vote three to four weeks before the party, so guests have time to find an outfit once the theme is set.
Read the dress-up answers next to the theme count. If most guests want something small, a Y2K party with one accessory beats a full 70s costume nobody wears.
Announce the result with the invitation, not separately. The guests who voted already feel part of it, and they reply faster.
Theme vote questions
Should the guest of honor see the vote?
For a surprise party, send the link to everyone except them. Otherwise, let them pick the four options and leave the vote to the guests. For the surprise, add a line to the intro asking guests not to mention the vote in chats the guest of honor is in. Close the vote about a week before invitations go out, so the theme can go on them.
Can I use it for an office party?
Yes. Swap the themes for workplace-friendly ones and the venue options for your real choices, such as the office or a restaurant. Keep the dress-up question, since many coworkers prefer regular clothes, and their answers tell you whether to make costumes optional. If the venue is already booked, delete that question.
What if a write-in theme gets votes?
Write-ins count one each in the responses. If several guests suggest the same idea, add it as an option and ask again. A quick second round with the top two themes and the new idea settles it in a day. Duplicate the form, cut the options to three and share the new link in the same chat.
