Event ideas survey

Members say which events they'd come to and when, so you plan what fills up.

What's inside

Members who offer to host pick the event from the same list, so you know who could run each one before you plan it.

Planning a season from the answers

Count the votes per event and look at the top three. An event with 20 votes and a willing host goes on the calendar first.

Timing decides turnout more than the event does. If most members pick weekend evenings, a weeknight hike will be half empty however popular it is.

Thank the hosts by name when you share the plan. Members who see others hosting offer to host next season too.

Event survey questions

Can a PTA or a company social committee use it?

Yes. Replace the event list with your own ideas and change the intro. Six options is a good number; more makes the top three harder to read. A PTA might list a family movie night, a book fair, a fun run and a teacher thank-you lunch. Keep the survey open for about two weeks, then share the results in your next newsletter.

Is the survey anonymous?

The name is optional, so members choose. Hosts usually add their name so you can reach them. Without a name, members tell you more honestly which ideas they'd skip. Votes run on trust, so if you get more replies than you have members, share the link only in your members' group chat or newsletter next time.

How do I see the most popular events?

The responses page counts the votes for each event. The CSV export gives you the same counts for a spreadsheet or a slide. Members can pick several events, so the totals add up to more than the number of replies. Check the frequency answers too, which tell you whether to plan one event a month or one a season.
