Favorite things questionnaire

Teachers, coaches or coworkers list their favorite things, so gifts hit the mark.

What's inside

Turning a list into good gifts

Send it at the start of the school year, not the week before a holiday. Room parents then have the answers ready for birthdays, Teacher Appreciation Week and the end of the year.

Share the answers with every family in the class, so 25 families don't each buy a candle. A gift card to a favorite shop pooled from the whole class goes further.

The allergies question is the one to read first. A box of chocolates is no gift to someone who avoids dairy.

Favorite things questions

Who fills it in, the teacher or the parents?

The teacher, coach or coworker you are buying for. Send them the link, then share their answers with the parents or the team. Add a line to the intro saying who will see the answers, so they know what to write. When you pass the list on, a short summary in the parents' group chat reads better than a spreadsheet.

Can I use it for a coworker or a secret santa?

Yes. Change the title and the intro. For a secret santa, send it to everyone and pass each person's answers to whoever draws them. Put the price limit in the intro, such as $25, so the favorite shops answers stay in range. Close the form once everyone has answered, and send each giver their list two weeks before the exchange.

Can I collect several teachers' answers in one form?

Yes. The name question tells the answers apart. Send one link to every teacher in the grade and sort the export by name. Mention specials teachers such as art, music and PE in the intro, so they know it's for them too. Each room parent then copies only their teacher's row into the class group.
