Graduation party RSVP

Count party guests and ceremony seats in one reply, and collect advice for the graduate.

What's inside

Guests who come give a headcount and say whether they also want to see the ceremony; a yes asks how many tickets they need. Everyone can leave advice for the graduate.

When the ceremony has limited seats

Schools often give each graduate a fixed number of ceremony tickets. Send this three to four weeks before graduation, as soon as you know your allowance, and set the reply date before the school's ticket deadline.

The ticket question appears only for guests who want to come to the ceremony, and each reply can ask for up to four. Add up the requests and you know at once whether to ask the school for more or tell a few people it's the party only.

Put the party time, the address and the ceremony time in the intro. Guests decide about the ceremony knowing it's a morning commitment.

Advice for the graduate makes a good card or a slideshow at the party. For a class get-together years later, there's a reunion RSVP.

Graduation party questions

Can I change the ticket limit?

Yes. Open the ticket question in your copy and set the most a single reply can ask for. One or two works well when the school allowance is small. If your allowance is six and grandparents come first, send them the link a few days before everyone else. Lower the limit before you share it with the wider family.

What if there is no ticketed ceremony?

Delete the ceremony question in your copy, and the ticket question goes with it. What's left is a short party RSVP with a headcount and advice. If the ceremony is livestreamed, put the stream link and start time in the intro. Relatives who can't travel still watch the walk across the stage, then leave their advice in the form.

Can friends of the graduate use the same link?

Yes. Anyone with the link can reply. Share it in family and friend chats and every reply lands in one list. The form closes by itself at 60 guests, counted from each reply's headcount; change the number in your form's settings to fit your space.
