Anniversary party RSVP

Guests reply with a headcount and a memory of the couple that ends up in the toast.

Turning replies into the toast

Send the link six weeks out for a 40th or 50th. Guests are often older, travel further and plan around family, so more notice means more yeses.

The memories are the toast. Pick three or four that show who the couple are, read them aloud with each guest's name, and keep the rest in a book for the couple.

Ask everyone who was at the wedding to stand during the toast. The replies tell you how many to expect, and the couple sees decades of friends rise at once.

Old photos make a slideshow or a table display. Play them on a screen during dinner, in the order of the years.

Anniversary RSVP questions

Can people who can't come still send a memory?

Yes. Memory and photo are asked of everyone, so relatives abroad and friends who can't travel are part of the night through the toast and the slideshow. A guest who says no still reaches both questions and then gets an end screen of their own. Send the link to far-off cousins too, since their stories are often the ones the couple has never heard.

Can the party be a surprise for the couple?

Yes. Send the link to guests one by one or in a group chat without the couple, and write in the intro that it's a surprise. Replies reach only you, not other guests, so the memories and photos stay hidden until the toast. Ask guests to arrive 30 minutes before the couple, and put that time in the intro too.

Which anniversaries usually get a party?

Most families celebrate the 25th (silver), the 40th (ruby) and the 50th (golden). The same form works for any year: change the title, the intro and the wedding year in the question. Each reply counts up to five people. If whole branches of the family answer together for a 50th, raise that number in the question's settings so a family of seven can reply once.
