Milestone birthday RSVP

Collect replies for a 30th, 40th or 50th and a memory book from the same link.

What's inside

Guests who come give a headcount. Everyone, coming or not, can say how they met, share a memory and add a photo, so guests who can't make it still end up in the book.

Turning replies into a memory book

Send the link four to six weeks ahead. A milestone party often has guests from every part of someone's life, and some need time to travel; the memory questions also need a few days of thinking.

The how-you-met question gives the book its order. Export the replies as a CSV file, sort by when people met, and the memories read as a life from school friends to last year's new colleagues.

Photos make the book. Ask guests to add one picture of the two of them, old or new, and print it beside their memory. A guest who can't come still has a page.

Keep the secret if the book is a surprise: share the link with guests only, and use a surprise party RSVP if the party is a surprise too.

Milestone birthday questions

Can guests who aren't coming add a memory?

Yes. The memory, the how-you-met question and the photo show for every guest. Only the headcount depends on coming, so the book includes people who send regrets. Their end screen tells them the memory still goes in. Send the link to old friends who live far away too, since their stories often cover years nobody at the party saw.

What photo formats can guests upload?

Guests pick a picture from their phone or computer as they would for any upload. It arrives with their reply, and you can download it from your responses. For a printed book, ask in the intro for the original photo rather than a screenshot from a chat. Chat apps shrink pictures, and small files look blurry on paper.

Can I change the age and the name?

Yes. The title, intro and every question mentioning the guest of honor are plain text in your copy. Change them once and the form is theirs. Check the end screens as well, since they name the guest of honor in the line about the book. A 30th for a best friend or a 70th for a grandmother uses the same questions.
