Dog birthday party RSVP

Owners register each dog by name, size and temperament, so you plan treats and space for the pack.

What's inside

A yes asks how many dogs are coming, then each dog's name, size and whether it loves everyone or needs a slow intro.

Throwing a pawty that stays friendly

Hold it where dogs already know how to behave: a fenced dog run, a big backyard or a dog-friendly cafe patio. Put the address and the leash rule in the intro.

Sizes help you split the space. With several small dogs and a few large ones, set up two play areas or take turns, so the small ones don't get bowled over.

Dogs marked slow intro meet the others one at a time, on leash, before joining the group. Tell those owners where to wait when they arrive.

Count treats and pup cups by dog, not by person, and bring a few spares for the dogs that wander over from the rest of the park.

Dog party questions

What does needs a slow intro mean?

It flags dogs that get nervous in a crowd or play rough at first. Their owners arrive a little early or wait at the gate, and the dog meets the others one or two at a time. Each dog gets its own answer, so an owner with two dogs can mark one as loving everyone and the other as needing a slow intro.

Can people come without a dog?

Yes. Write in the intro that friends without a dog are welcome too. If you need a people count for snacks, add a number question for humans next to the dog count. The dog count starts at one for a yes, so add a third answer like Coming without a dog. It skips the dog questions, and you still see who is coming.

How do I run the costume parade?

Keep it short: each owner walks their dog past everyone once while the crowd cheers. Dogs that hate outfits can join in a bandana. The replies tell you whether to expect three dogs or fifteen. Line up the small dogs first, and give every dog that walks a treat at the end, so nobody goes home without a prize.
