First birthday RSVP
Count grown-ups and babies apart, line up high chairs and collect notes for a time capsule.
What's inside
A yes counts grown-ups and little ones separately, and only families bringing a little one are asked about a high chair. Everyone can write a time capsule note.

Planning a party around naps
Pick the time around the baby's nap, then put it in the intro. A 10 am or 3 pm start keeps the birthday baby awake for the cake.
Little ones count differently. They need floor space and high chairs, not seats and drinks, so the two numbers tell you how much of each to plan.
Borrow high chairs from the replies. If four families say yes, ask a neighbor or two guests to bring a portable one.
Time capsule notes are the part parents keep. Seal them in an envelope with a photo from the day, and write the date eighteen years out on the front.
First birthday RSVP questions
Do babies count toward the headcount?
Count them for space and high chairs, not for food. Little ones under three have their own number, so your shopping list uses only the grown-up count. Older siblings fit neither number, so if they're invited, rename Grown-ups coming to Guests three and up. That keeps your plate and cake count right.
Can guests write a note if they can't come?
Yes. The time capsule note is asked of everyone, so grandparents abroad and friends who can't travel still add a line for Nora to read at 18. Their own end screen tells them the note still goes in the capsule. Send the link to family who live far away even if you know they can't come, since their notes fill the box too.
How early should I send it?
Two to three weeks works for a party at home. Families with babies plan around naps and sitters, so a clear start time in the intro matters more than extra notice. Add a reply-by date about a week before the party, which leaves time to order the smash cake. Set the form to close on that date if you want a firm count.
