Camping trip sign-up
Campers say what gear they bring and which meal they cook, so nothing is forgotten twice.
What's inside
Campers bringing a tent say how many spare spots it has. Everyone ticks the shared gear they can bring and claims a meal, two cooks each, and the sign-up closes when every meal is taken.

Planning a group camping trip
Book the site first, then send the link a month ahead. Group sites usually cap the number of people and tents, so write the limit in the intro.
Match tent spots before the trip. Add up the spare spots, and the campers who need one, so nobody arrives without somewhere to sleep.
Turn the gear ticks into one list. Two stoves and a cooler are enough for eight, and the list stops five people from bringing a speaker.
Cooks plan and shop for their own meal. Share the food you can't eat answers with each pair, so every meal works for everyone.
Camping sign-up questions
Why does the sign-up close at eight?
Four meals with two cooks each make eight campers. When every meal is taken, the form stops. Add meals or cooks for a bigger group, and the limit follows. For twelve campers, add Saturday lunch and Sunday lunch with two cooks each. A friend who asks after it closes can still come; pair them with a meal team in the group chat instead of reopening the form.
Can I use it for a scout or club camp?
Yes. Change the meals to patrols or duties like fire and washing up. The places per duty work the same way. For a youth camp, add a required question for a parent's phone number and one for medication. If the camp has cabins or cots, change the tent question to match, and leaders read the duty roster straight from the responses.
What if someone has no gear at all?
That's fine. The gear question is optional, and they can still cook a meal and take a tent spot. First-timers mostly need a sleeping bag and a mat, so ask in the intro who can lend one. Matching a borrower with a lender takes one message a week out, and a lot longer at the campsite at dusk.
