Volunteer shift sign-up
Volunteers claim a shift and a job, and each shift stops at the number you need.
What's inside
Each shift shows the places left and closes when full; a volunteer under 18 is asked for a parent's phone, and the form stops once all 34 places are taken.

Staffing an event with volunteers
Count the people each shift really needs before you share the link. The sample asks for 12 in the morning, 12 at midday and 10 for the evening shift with cleanup. Set those numbers on the options and the form does the rest.
Cleanup is the shift that empties first, so name it in the option. People who choose it knowingly show up.
Ask for shirt sizes now, while you can still order. Print a QR code for the school newsletter or the church bulletin, so people sign up from their phone.
Text every volunteer two days before with their shift lead's name. Export the replies to a spreadsheet and sort by shift to print a check-in sheet.
Volunteer sign-up questions
What happens when a shift is full?
That shift shows as Full and nobody else can pick it, so you never have 20 people at noon and 3 at close. When all three shifts are full, the form closes itself. Raise a number on any option if you find more work.
Can teenagers volunteer?
Yes. A volunteer who picks Under 18 is asked for a parent or guardian's phone, and only they see that question. Adults answer one question fewer. Many events take volunteers from 14 or 16 with a parent's consent, so check your venue's rule and add the minimum age to the intro. Pair teens with an adult shift lead.
Can I use it for a recurring volunteer roster?
Yes. Rename the shifts each week, or duplicate the form for every event. Each copy keeps its own list, which makes thank-you notes and hour counts easy. For a weekly roster, close each copy the day before, so late changes come to you by text. Names that show up in every list are your regulars.
