Bridal shower recipe cards
Guests send a favorite recipe with a photo, and the bride gets a cookbook from everyone.
What's inside
Every guest fills in the same recipe card: name, ingredients, steps and a photo. Guests who mark a recipe as passed down are asked whose it was, so the page can credit Grandma.

Making the shower cookbook
Send the link with the shower invitation, four to six weeks before, and set a deadline two weeks before the shower. Printing and binding a small book takes about a week.
Guests type their own recipe, which saves you deciphering handwriting. Ask for one ingredient per line with amounts in the intro, so every page reads the same.
Sort the recipes into starters, mains and desserts when you lay out the book. The family-recipe answers deserve their own pages: a line like “from Grandma Rose's kitchen” is the part people read aloud.
Guests who can't come still send a recipe, so the book includes everyone. Send the bridal shower RSVP separately for the headcount.
Recipe collection questions
How do I turn the replies into a book?
Each reply is one row with the recipe name, ingredients, steps and the photo link in their own columns. Copy them into a photo book or a document template, one recipe per page. Export the replies first, so you can fix typos in one place. Download the dish photos early, since a few guests skip the photo and you'll want time to ask them or take one yourself.
Can guests send more than one recipe?
Yes. They send the form again for each recipe, and every one arrives as its own reply. Say in the intro how many you'd like, for example up to two each, so the book stays a size you can print. If one guest sends five, pick the two that fit best and put the rest on a page of extras at the back.
Does the bride see the recipes before the shower?
Only if you share them. Replies go to whoever saved the form, so the book can stay a surprise. Send the link to guests only, and remind them in the intro not to mention it to the bride. If a co-host helps with the layout, export the replies and send them the file rather than sharing your login.
