Secret Santa sign-up
Everyone shares wishes and what to avoid, so nobody gets another mug.
What's inside

Running a Secret Santa that people enjoy
Share the link with your group about a month before the swap, and close sign-ups the day before your draw. Late joiners make an odd number and a redraw.
Draw names from the reply list, then email each player their match with that person's wishes, avoid list and size. Nobody has to ask around and give the game away.
The housemate question saves the most common complaint: couples and roommates drawing each other and spending their own money on themselves.
Prefer chaos to wish lists? The white elephant gift exchange runs the opposite game, with steals.
Secret Santa sign-up questions
Does the form draw the names?
No. You draw names yourself from the reply list, with a hat or any name picker, then email each match. Keeping the draw with you means you can honor the housemate answers. Draw on the date in your intro and send every match the same evening, so nobody hears theirs early. If a housemate pair lands together, put both names back and draw again.
Can I use it for an office Secret Santa?
Yes. Change the budget and dates in the intro. Delete the clothing size for colleagues if it feels too personal; the wishes and the avoid list do most of the work. Set the budget at $20 to $30 so nobody feels pressure, and pick a swap day before people leave for the holidays.
Can players see each other's wishes?
No. Replies go only to you. Players see their match's wishes when you send them. If you are also playing, ask someone outside the game to set up the form and run the draw, so the surprise stays a surprise for you too. Players who want to change a wish can send the form again before the draw, and you use their newest reply.
