Pride march sign-up
Marchers join the group, get a shirt in their size and pick a role on the day.
What's inside
Marchers give the name they'd like used, a shirt size and a role on the day; float, signs and water roles close when full. Anyone who wants the route made easier says what helps.

Organizing a Pride march group
Most Pride organizers ask groups to register weeks ahead, so open your sign-up early. Shirts need ordering about four weeks before the day.
Count the shirt sizes the day sign-ups close and order a few extras of the middle sizes. Late joiners always turn up.
The roles close at the numbers you set: eight people building the float, ten making signs, four on water and first aid. Change them to the size of your group.
Read the access answers before the day. A seat on the float or a shorter starting point is easy to plan in advance and hard to fix on the route.
Pride march sign-up questions
Why does the form ask for the name you'd like used?
It's the name you'll put on the list and say on the day. The form asks nothing about identity or orientation; everyone is welcome to march. Use it on name tags, the group list and the march-day emails. If someone's name changes before the day, they can send the form again and you keep the newest reply.
Can companies use it for an employee group?
Yes. Change the intro to your meeting point and route. Keep in mind that some people may not want to be seen at Pride by work contacts, so share the group list only with organizers. Many marchers prefer a personal email for updates, so say in the intro that any address works.
What happens when a role is full?
It shows as Full and can't be picked, so people choose another. Marching with the group has no limit. If the float fills in a week, raise its limit after sharing or ask extra hands to make signs. Check that at least one person on water and first aid has training. Email each role a week before with its meeting time.
